If you're planning to take your chicken out and about, the safest option for them to roam is a chicken harness.
 
My style harnesses are a bit different, since the weight of the fabric is on their backs, rather than their crops. The body straps criss cross under their belly, between legs for a secure, but comfortable fit.
Made with high quality cotton, with lightweight air mesh underneath.
The harness fastens with velcro. The body straps are easily adjustable to fit all sizes in between. Small half inch D ring fitted on their backs to clip your leash. Comes in many prints to suit your style.
 
Wash in cold water, use mild detergent, hang to dry.
 
Never leave chicken unattended while wearing harness.
Not all chickens will wear a harness, short intervals in the beginning is best.
